“The Fruit of the Gods” Yellow bell shaped flowers mature as golf ball or smaller sized fruit. The orange fruit drops from early fall through early winter and is highly sought after by wildlife. Persimmons will grow in a wide variety of conditions but prefer partial to full sun and moist well drained soil. Native Persimmons are either male or female. Both are necessary for fruit production and it is recommended to plant 3-5 trees in close proximity to one another . Expect to see fruit production between 5 and 7 years.
