8’-12’ Zones 4-8
The Dolgo crabapple is our favorite pollinator for apples and other crabapple varieties. It drops large crops of red fruit up to 1.5” in size. Fruit will ripen in late September and slowly drop into December. Dolgo is a very disease resistant variety. The Dolgo also provides quite the show in the spring when its pink buds bloom in to white flowers for weeks. Fruit production begins in 3-5 years. Dolgo not only pollinates most members of the malus genus and attracts pollinating insects, it is also, one of our go to trees when we are planning and planting bow hunting sites. Deer absolutely love them!
